Adam Sandler was born on September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn. His father, Stanley Sandler, is an electrician, and his mother, Judy Sandler, is a kindergarten teacher. Both have Russian ancestry and are Jewish. They moved to Manchester when he was six. In his teenage years, he was a member of the well-known Jewish youth group, BBYO. He graduated from New York University in 1988.
